TIME PRO CYCLING U23 PERFORMANCE CAMP!

MAY 16,17,18 in Winston-Salem NC

-GET THE FLYER HERE!

TIME Pro Cycling has put together a great opportunity for U23 and last year 17-18 men of all ability levels to come together and receive expert-level input into their future cycling careers. Riders will receive valuable physiological testing, the opportunity to establish networks with athletes pursuing similar goals, and the chance to meet informally with the directors of several UCI teams. You will leave this Camp with the knowledge about what it takes to become a career professional and a clear understanding about how to market and present yourself to potential sponsors and teams.

The Performance Camp will focus on three areas:

• Mentorship
• Peer Networking
• Professional Networking

Mentorship- TIME Pro Cycling was specifically formed to provide mentorship to young riders. The number one benefit in this camp will be MENTORSHIP. Through our proven method of high-potential mentoring, riders will have the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and learn from our assembled group of experienced individuals. These individuals all know that qualified mentorship is hard to come by and many of them have learned through personal hardship and struggle the disadvantages of pursuing a cycling career without it. It is the philosophy of TIME Pro Cycling that many good young riders could become more self-confident and competent given the right developmental relationship with a mentor. This camp offers the best opportunity that many of these U23 riders will have to get access to the expertise and knowledge that our camp staff has to offer.

Peer Networking- Cycling, by its competitive nature, tends to limit riders from establishing effective peer networks. You can never underestimate the value of having strong relationships developed through athletic experience and friendly affiliations. Many times riders choose not to take time getting to know individuals pursuing the same interests as themselves and build these strong peer networks. It is important that young riders understand that their competitors are not their enemies, and fact your peers in competition are, in many ways, your greatest resource! Everyone who participates in the camp will be encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to meet other people with similar goals, drive, and discipline and to make lasting personal connections.

Professional Networking- We have assembled representatives from several UCI registered teams to come and meet the camp participants. The camp will offer the opportunity for young riders to gain access to the directors of pro teams and the chance for the directors to meet the riders of tomorrow. The directors and managers of these teams want to know who the young riders are because every Professional Continental Team has a need for young professional riders and everyone is looking to discover the next superstar. Many times these future stars go undiscovered or are overlooked. We will bring both groups face to face in a candid and informal setting. In this environment the directors can meet future stars and the riders can learn what these decision makers are looking for and what they expect from these athletes.

Our three day camp will include:

Physiological testing at PER4MANCE TRAINING in Charlotte, NC- each participant will get the benefit of testing in a professional testing lab and get to keep a full copy of their results for their resume. These days, for better or worse, performance numbers play a large role in the evaluation of riders. Having your own set of testing numbers will let you prove your ability and give you an important benchmark in your training and development.
Per4mance Training is the premier cycling/multisport Training Facility in the Southeast. They coach cyclists of all abilities, from Pro's to beginners. Find out more: http://www.totalcyclist.com/

On the bike physical assessment- we will have two full days of training on the bike that is designed to help you discover your strengths and weaknesses and to assess your performance in key areas.

Topical Discussions- every day will include discussions on training, nutrition, and what you need to do to break into the professional racing world from knowledgeable speakers like U23 TT Champion Nick Frey, Nutrition Expert and EP-NO Founder John Gamble, Per4mance training founder Chad Andrews, Pro Team Directors from Toshiba, Jittery Joes, Rite Aid Pro Cycling, HealthNet Pro Cycling, Kelly Benefit Strategies/Medifast and of course TIME Pro Cycling.

The fee for the camp will be $260 per person and include a gift bag, camp activities, testing at PER4MANCE Training, and lodging for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Registration for the camp will open Friday, February 29th 2008 and close on Thursday, April 16th 2008. Attendees will be notified of their acceptance on April 17th 2008.

REGISTRATION INFO IS AVAILABLE AT http://www.timeprocycling.com/

We wish to accommodate all riders who would like to attend because our mission is to offer a service to all young riders who want to pursue cycling at the highest level possible. We are able to accept many riders, but in the event that there are too many applicants to accommodate without sacrificing the quality of the camp we will unfortunately have to turn some away and return the registration fee.
